IP20 Cambridge Network

Electrix NZ has been contracted by First Gas to undertake installation works of a new gas pipeline on the IP20 Cambridge network project. The installation works will consist of approximately 1292m of DN100 IP20 pipeline from south of Waikato Expressway to tie-in point near DRS station at the corner of Taylor Road and Victoria Road.

The project comprises two phases.

Phase1 involves the new installation of approximately 662m of DN100 pipeline from tie-in point TIP001 from south of Waikato Expressway to tie-in point TIP002 on existing pipeline north of Norfolk Drive. This will include hot tap tie-in to existing pipeline north of Norfolk Drive.

Phase 2 involves the new installation of approximately 630m of DN100 pipeline from tie-in point TIP003 south of Norfolk Drive to TIP005 near DRS station on the corner of Victoria Road and Taylor Road. This will include hot tap tie-in to existing pipeline south of Norfolk Drive at TIP003 and TIP004 respectively and near DRS station, on the corner of Taylor Road and Victoria Road at TIP005.

The existing DN50 pipeline south of Norfolk Drive is required to remain in service during the works. The existing DN50 pipeline will be connected to the new pipeline at TIP004 via a hot tap connection on existing DN50 pipeline.

The contract value of this project is estimated at $950,000.
