An opportunity has arisen for a Project Supervisor in the Gas division based in our Hamilton Depot reporting to the Gas Distribution Supervisor – Waikato.
Key attributes / responsibilities are: •Coordinate contracts by achieving financial targets •Identify problems with execution of contracts, and source solutions •Initiate regular client feedback on performance and encourage team to build good relations with the public sector on the Vector network •Ensure all company and contractual reporting achieves the KPI guidelines •Assume responsibility to ensure all network constraints are planned, repaired and reinstated •Coordinate planning of work to ensure high productivity of the Gas Distribution field technicians based in Hamilton •Apply the industry codes of practice to ensure compliance on each contract •Coordinate effective communication with team members on various aspects including safe working methods and the requirements of Health, Safety and Employment Acts •Ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality performance are achieved •Manage the functional and efficient operation of projects. Experience in the following aspects is a prerequisite: •Hand-on experience with Gas distribution reactive and preventative maintenance management •Thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements •Knowledge of industry contracting procedures and contract law •Estimating, pricing and knowledge of reactive unit rates •Excellence in organisational and time management skills •Exposure to Project Management and Supervision •Computer literate with excellent report writing skills •Highly skilled in inter-personal communication with customers and team members at all levels •Ability to create a team environment
